Frequently asked questions
How do I apply for a planter?
Allotments are allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you are interested in applying for a planter please email the Sustainability Team, stating which allotment space you would like a planter in.
Please be aware the planters are very popular. If one is not available in your preferred allotment you will be offered one in another allotment (where there is one available), or be added to the waiting list.
How many planters can I have?
Currently Staff and Students are allocated one planter each (due to demand). Some people like to share a planter with a colleague or friend, or even have a 'Team' or 'Society' planter.
How long do I have my planter for?
Planters are allocated to staff and students for a one year period. If you would like to keep your planter after this year then please confirm this with the Sustainability Team.
Are there any rules for the planters?
All planter owners are asked to look after their planter, grow responsibly and to keep the area tidy. Please see further details on the Allotment Rules
