If you are looking for a dynamic, creative and well-resourced environment in which to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding of moving image, then this is the place for you. Our courses combine theory and practice with plenty of opportunities to perform, direct, and create high-quality productions.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and advance across preproduction, production and postproduction disciplines, all within the supportive environment of the purpose-built Stewart Film Studios.
The Stewart Film Studios house industry-leading equipment and facilities designed to meet the diverse creative and craft development needs of our students. The Filmmaking team's flexible, open-access systems and culture make it possible for students to maximise their making time across assessed filmmaking, extracurricular projects, and commercial/client work.
Developing your specialist skills in filmmaking and building your work experience profile requires active, well-informed student agency – a process that our programme is ready to support. We build upon the excellent offer of UoH’s Enterprise Team by taking students through an individually tailored work experience and network expansion process that is customised for the moving image, and designed to converge with an individual student’s emergent specialist talents.
