Our future-focused degrees explore all aspects of the contemporary media landscape: from traditional media such as the press, magazines, radio, television and film to new digital platforms, apps and social media such as YouTube, Netflix, Snapchat or Twitter. You’ll learn how to analyse and create content for different media platforms, and gain the technical skills required to work across different media. As thinkers, makers and creators, media graduates can boast a valuable mix of knowledge, technical skills and creativity, meeting the demands of working with current and future media platforms.
Throughout, you’ll be supported by lecturers who work on internationally recognised research and industry professionals while having access to the latest facilities and technologies in digital media, including digital TV studios, newsrooms, editing suites and social media software tools.
A placement is a great opportunity to explore your chosen industry, to understand the sector, network and make valuable contacts, whilst developing your skills, knowledge and experience. A placement is a chance to get involved, to put theory into practice and to work alongside professionals.
