Facilities
Huddersfield Business School is situated next to a canal and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The Diamond Jubilee Lecture Theatre has been refurbished with sustainability in mind. It features updated architecture, refreshed walls, and newly upholstered seats made from fabric supplied by Camira – a local firm - using approximately 18,000 recycled plastic bottles recovered from UK seas. The Street provides a great space for group projects and also a place to catch up with friends, over a coffee from the Street Café.

The Trading Room is a space designed to simulate the fast-paced environment of a real-world stock exchange. Equipped with advanced technology, the trading room will enable you to analyse economic, business, and financial data in real-time, building practical skills in market analysis and decision-making. This immersive setup provides a unique, practical learning experience, preparing you to navigate the complexities of global finance.

Dr Kay Smith
Head of Department, Huddersfield Business School
Kay joined in 2007 as a Senior Lecturer after 12 years in teaching and management in Higher Education within a Further Education College. A Loughborough graduate in Management Science, she brings expertise in educational leadership and curriculum development.

Dr Pamela Anderson
Subject Area Leader
Pamela joined in 1995, bringing experience from the Uni of Humberside. She teaches financial management, corporate finance, and business ethics. An ACCA-qualified accountant and HEA Fellow, Pamela's research integrates expertise in accountancy and nutrition.

Professor Zulfiqar Shah
Professor of Accounting and Finance
Zulfiqar has over 20 years of experience, including 18 as an Associate Professor at Warwick Business School. With a background in private-sector banking, he is a member of the British Accounting and Finance Association and the European Accounting Association.
