Accreditations and industry links
Some of our courses have professional accreditations from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The accreditations will help put you in good stead for when you enter the industry after graduating.
You’ll also be able to benefit from our Partners in Accountancy schemes that link you to major accountancy firms. Our partners will provide you with career advice and mentoring. They will also come onto campus to work with you in seminars where you’ll get further insights into accountancy, finance, and economics in practice. You’ll be able to get a real feel for the participating businesses, and what it’s like working in the field, preparing you for the working world as much as possible.
Accreditations Where you could go on placement
Many of the courses allow you to undertake a work placement, which gives you the opportunity to put your learning into practice and understand how theory works in the real world.** Our students go on a wide range of placements across the private, public and third sectors. Previous students have gained experience at places like Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Lloyds Banking Group, L’Oréal, NHS England, PPG Architectural Coatings EMEA, Kirklees Council, Walker and Sutcliffe Chartered Accountants and West Yorkshire Accountancy Services.***
