If you’re struggling with what to choose, why not come along to our next Postgraduate Open day and explore your options?
Check you are eligible for the course and meet the entry requirements – these are outlined on all our course pages.
For most postgraduate courses you can apply throughout the year, although we recommend that you apply as early as possible to secure your place, as courses will close to new applications once capacity has been reached. Deadline dates for postgraduate taught applications are normally one week before the start date of the course. Deadline dates for international applicants will be earlier due to immigration requirements.
Please note, you are expected to enrol within three weeks of the start date of your course. If you are unable to enrol by the enrolment deadline, it may be possible to defer your place to the next available start date of the course.
You will be required to write a Personal Statement as part of the application. You will also be required to upload supporting documents. To save time, make sure you have the following scanned and ready to upload with your online application:
Depending on the course you apply for, you may be asked to provide a portfolio.
If your course does not require some or any of the additional documents, there will not be an option to provide them in the application form and there is no need to submit them separately.
You can see a full list of postgraduate course fees on our Fees and Finance webpage, and on each individual course listing.
Many students fund their own postgraduate study, however you may be eligible for a Master’s loan or other financial support. Our funding pages contain all the information you need on finance options, including our 10% alumni discount for home students (terms and conditions apply).
Application methods vary depending on the course, this will be stated on the course page. Please use the following guide to understand the best way to apply for your chosen degree:
