New facilities for Health Professional degree courses

If you’re interested in studying one of our Health Professional degree courses, you’ll have a chance to study in our brand new building, the Daphne Steele Building, part of the National Health Innovation Campus.  

This building will feature state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for our midwifery, nursing, occupational therapy, operating department practice, paramedic science, physiotherapy, podiatry and speech and language therapy courses.

How to get from Queensgate Campus to Daphne Steele 

Walking between Queensgate Campus and Daphne Steele takes around 12 minutes. The route is completely accessible. 
Don’t worry, we’ll have Student Ambassadors who will be able to take you between buildings and we’ve got pavement markings so that you don’t lose your way.

Walking from Queensgate to Daphne Steele

Follow these instructions to walk from Queensgate Campus to the Daphne Steele building: 

  1. Leave Queensgate Campus near the Oastler Building and head north-west towards the roundabout.
  2. Cross the ring-road at the crossing, turning right down Southgate past Kingsgate Shopping Centre.
  3. Follow the ring-road until it intersects with Kirkgate.
  4. Cross at the Kirkgate crossing towards the BT Openreach building.
  5. Turn left, continuing to follow the ring-road. Daphne Steele is on your right.
  6. Please only cross the ring-road at the formal pelican crossings. Be sensible and use basic road safety when travelling between campuses.

There’s free parking on the day in our University car park for Open Day visitors. 
It's only a couple of minutes’ walk away. Use this postcode:

Making the most of your time at the Open Day 

We recommend splitting your time at the Open Day, so you spend a full morning at either our main Queensgate Campus or at Daphne Steele. Our general talks and campus tours will take place at Queensgate Campus, and specific talks on Health courses will be held at Daphne Steele.
