Attend this evening event (2.00pm - 6.00pm) if you’ve not had chance to visit us yet and want to start your studies in September 2025.

If you’re planning to start your studies in September 2026, keep an eye out for our Summer 2025 Open Day date, to get the full experience of campus and everything Huddersfield has to offer.

Checking in

There are two check in locations across campus, make sure you check in so you can claim your travel contribution! 

  • Student Central (Queensgate Campus)
  • Daphne Steele (National Health Innovation Campus, Southgate) Watch our video for the safe walking route from the Queensgate campus to the National Health Innovation Campus.

Need a quieter or more accessible check in? Visit the helpdesk in Student Central and we’ll be able to help you there.

  • Talk to course tutors and see the facilities
  • Visit our accommodation

  • Take a tour of the campus
  • Have your UCAS Personal Statement checked by Student Recruitment staff

*Our contribution towards travel cost

After the Open Day, you can claim up to £75 towards your journey between your home address and the University of Huddersfield, if you attend (make sure you check in on the day so that we know that you attended). The below table provides details of the contributions we will make:

20 - 69 miles £25.00
70 - 149 miles £40.00
150 or more miles £75.00


Claiming your reimbursement

To claim your reimbursement, we’ll send you an email after the Open Day with a link to a secure form, ask you to confirm your personal details and provide us with your bank/building society details. Once submitted, payment can take up to 30 days to appear in your bank account.
