Applying for your visa

Once you receive your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), you need to apply for your student visa.

When your visa has been granted, you must create a UKVI account to apply for a share code and travel to the UK within 90 days. Full information, advice and support is available on our University immigration web pages or contact the team directly for further information.

Accommodation

You must arrange your accommodation before travelling to the UK.  Huddersfield has great housing options for students; book with our recommended and approved accommodation providers.

We strongly advise choosing accommodation in the Huddersfield area but if you choose to live outside of the town, ensure it is no more than one-hour public transport commute from the University.

The three stages:

This will ask you to book an appointment time to collect your new student ID card from the International Office in the Student Central building, Level 4, behind iPoint reception desk from Monday to Friday between 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. You must bring your actual passport book, BRP and visa decision letters with you, as well as proof of your local address to the University.
