What are they?
The University's global societies are sponsored by the International Office and are student-led groups open to all students and staff at the University. Their purpose is to represent different cultures, languages and countries on and off campus, include others, educate and learn from one another while making new friends and having fun along the way.
Who are they for?
They are FREE and open to all staff and students at the University. They are not exclusively for international students or just for students from a single country.
How to get involved?
You can directly message the individual society or send a general message or query to the Campus Events team. There are hundreds of events that take place each year and you are welcome to join in or be a part of the experience.
Not represented?
If your country or region of the world is not represented, then it's over to you. Get set up for FREE by contacting the Campus Events team.
These societies are free for everyone to join no matter where you are from. They do not support any political or religious beliefs and exist to promote cultural integration, making friends and developing the global mind set.
Students at the University of Huddersfield talk about the different global student societies and global events taking place on campus.
