Referrals and Appointments.

We accept direct referrals as well as referrals from other Health Care professionals.

As this is teaching clinic appointments are longer in duration and can last up to 3 hours and we have set clinic days depending upon the foot problem.

An appointment can be made by contacting 01484 472201 by e-mailing podiatry.clinic@hud.ac.uk or through our online form

The Podiatry student clinic is a busy clinic and appointments do get booked up several weeks, or even months, in advance.

You will need to complete a ‘new patient Assessment and treatment form’ which will be sent to you electronically and your first appointment will be made with our Podiatry Receptionist.

If you are unable to do this electronically, we can help you complete this over the telephone.

What to expect at your first appointment.

On arrival check in at reception where you will be greeted by our receptionist and students.

You will need to pay before your appointment if you have not already paid for your appointment in advance.

There is a light airy and comfortable waiting area and when your podiatry student is ready to see you, they will come to meet you and introduce themselves.

This may be a longer appointment than normal as you will have a full assessment of your foot problems and treatment.

Following your first appointment return to reception to make another appointment if needed.

What if I am unable to attend?

We understand that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable due to illness or emergency, and we will take account of this in all circumstances.

Please call the Podiatry Clinic as soon as you know you won’t be able to attend, preferably with 24 hours’ notice, so that we can offer your appointment to someone else on 01484 472201 or e-mail podiatry.clinic@hud.ac.uk

We will arrange the next available appointment for you, but we do have limited numbers so this may be in several weeks’ time.

Refund of on- line payments

We understand that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable due to illness or emergency, and we will take account of this in all circumstances in the first instance by offering another appointment.

Refunds for missed appointments will only be made in exceptional circumstances and following a request in writing to the Clinical Administrator.

Cancellation of an appointment by the Podiatry Student clinic

We will only cancel an appointment in unavoidable circumstances,  and we will contact you to offer a new appointment as a priority.
