“After completing my business course back home I had a taste for marketing and decided to set my sights on the international environment. A degree from the UK is unique for somebody like myself and maybe others I suspect. Huddersfield is one of the few institutions to offer a straight marketing course.
“I learned about Huddersfield through friends who had studied at the University previously. They told me that the Business school and the academics had an excellent reputation good quality teaching. I had offers from universities in London and Manchester but it was Huddersfield that really showed that they wanted me as a student through regular correspondence with the International Office staff.
“The UK has presented me with so many opportunities to develop as a person to meet others and build up my confidence. Since I arrived in Huddersfield I have had a fantastic time. I found the people of the town so nice and the town is conveniently placed between Manchester and Leeds with a taste of everything for food, nightlife and shopping. My tutors are very approachable and friendly yet always maintain a high level of professionalism.
“My course involves a placement year in the third year which allows me to work in industry and practice my skills and at the same time learn first hand about the sector. A placement year is something everyone should try and get a taste of the real world which will hopefully reflect on your final course marks.”

“After seven years of work in the field of logistics and supply chain, I had taken a 3-yaer sabbatical from my job as a Project Manager to come and study in the UK. Following an internet search for logistics, I discovered Huddersfield. Universities in the UK have an excellent reputation for education and I feel this is a good opportunity to practice my English language and further my knowledge within my field.
“I didn't want to live in a big city and found Huddersfield was a good size town so the choice was made easy for me. The town is very easy to live in with most things easy to find. If not, Leeds and Manchester are very close by. The campus is dead central in the town which s very convenient.
