“The way the University of Huddersfield designed the course was another factor that drew my attention to apply for a place."....
“I found out about the University of Huddersfield through a web search showing the institution among universities offering MSc degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences.
“From a childhood age, I have always longed to visit the UK because I heard a lot about it since my country was once a British colony. I was also inspired by my Dad who studied in the UK for his Master degree programme when I was 9 years of age and this gave me the confidence that I would also one day study in the UK.
“Having studied for my first degree in my country, my desire to study abroad for my Master program grew stronger and the first choice was to search for my course in the UK. I vowed that I would not study for my Master program in Malawi though a similar course is run under University of Malawi.
“The University offered what I desired. Studying nutrition and food science in first degree prompted me to further my in-depth knowledge in the same area through a Master degree program. I therefore wanted to study a course with both Nutrition and Food science component. Through my internet search, it was only University of Huddersfield which had this. As for the other universities, the course could either be Nutrition as an entity on its own or Food Science or Public Health Nutrition.
“The way the University of Huddersfield designed the course was another factor that drew my attention to apply for a place. The course has several modules covering a wide range of areas. I therefore did not hesitate but chose to apply for a place because I knew that I would acquire a wide range of knowledge.”
“Small is beautiful and so is Huddersfield as a town. Being in a new environment, you need to start with small things to learn a lot, so the town size is good for someone who is new to a country. The campus is well located, being in the centre of Huddersfield with updated facilities which gives a relaxed environment good for learning.
“The people especially the University staff are friendly, which creates an enabling environment as one acclimatises to the new environment. Tutors in my school are always open and willing to assist with academic work.
“Huddersfield is the right place to be with quiet and peaceful environment good for learning. The school has the heart for international students in regard with their academics.”
