“My time in Huddersfield was a gift of life. I had been to many nice places in UK, Huddersfield is definitely one of my favourite places and the most student friendly town to study in and live in.
“From the very beginning that I settled down in the beautiful Ashenhurst student village, to a year later that I have been awarded master degree, waved good bye to my dear classmates and friends and left UK, every corner of Huddersfield is full of warm memories.
“My major is Professional Development. Tutors are very impressive and professional. We still stay in contact with each other by sending emails, photos and festival greeting cards. We become very good friends. When we were there, they always kindly arranged some interesting activities for us, as they knew being far away from home country is lonely.
“The master level study turned me into an active learner and independent thinker. The tutors assessed our learning outcomes in the form of presentations and assignments. These really challenge us as being non-native speakers. The school library is all-inclusive that you can get almost all the reading articles you want. We spent a lot of time over there, researching, discussing, sharing ideas and writing until very late at night. But we did feel content and happy.
“Since graduating from the University of Huddersfield, I got a job offer from one of the most popular language schools in Bangkok, Thailand. So, I decided to move to Thailand and start my first career overseas. I’m working as a Chinese representative and helping to develop the Chinese market. Working abroad is not easy but interesting. I see another life style which is different from UK and China. The Thai people are easy going, optimistic and really know how to live a happy life. I am gradually slowing down my footsteps and learn to appreciate the joy of working and living in Thailand.”

“I was very excited to find the module of MBA with Hospitality Management in University of Huddersfield. I was determined to choose a professional course instead of school rankings and the University of Huddersfield offered me the best choice.
“The UK has an advanced education system and you can finish a Master’s in one year, saving time and money. My course is essential for my personal career development in the hospitality industry.
“I have more than fifteen years luxury five star hotel working experience. I am the former General Manager for Yiwu International Mansion Hotel and Sanya Guest House International Boutique Resort Hotel. This course is set for my personal needs: hotel subjects and MBA management practice have combined better.
“It is more comprehensive with my future career development situation that I finished study in the UK as this can support my aspirations to become an Executive Manager with an international hotel.
“Huddersfield is very quiet and suitable for study. Tuition and living expenses are lower than other cities in the UK. The refurbished Business School has advanced facilities and the tutors are very enthusiastic and responsible, so you will experience the best education in the UK.
“The University’s Careers service and JobShop help your academic English learning and personal job development. There is also opportunities to meet students from around the world and will enable you to share all kinds of culture.”

“The University’s Vice-Chancellor visited my University in China which is how I found out about the prestige that is the University of Huddersfield. My research area of Precision Engineering is highly regarded at Huddersfield which helped me choose this institution.
“Huddersfield is very ideal place to live and study because of its convenient transport, affordable goods, friendly local people and internationalisation. As the distance from the campus to the centre is only several minutes walking, this is very beneficial for those who like shopping and those who don’t like cooking.
"One of more prestigious roles was to represent the University Chinese Student Society as President. The society is a non-political, non-religion and non-profit organisation that tries to bring together the Chinese scholars and students as well as other students who are interested in Chinese culture. We do this through social events, sports and cultural activities.

I discovered Huddersfield through an exhibition fair in Kunming and learned of its high quality education, friendly environment and low living costs.
"Huddersfield is a nice sized town; students can get whatever they want all within walking distance. The campus is located in the town-centre and very close to supermarkets and the train station. People in the town compared to those in bigger cities are more friendly and willing to smile at strangers, which make those who come for the first time feel at home.

My parents advised that studying away from the big cities would be advantageous and would help me to concentrate more on my studies and ensure a safe environment. I heard of Huddersfield through a friend who studied my course and I decided to apply.
"Students with my degree have returned to China with better job prospects. I have found the tutors very helpful and the subject is really interesting. “There are three main reasons why I have chosen exactly the UK. First, the standards of quality for UK institutions are amongst the highest in the world. Second, the UK is a multi-cultural and multi-faith country. It offers both strong tradition and a diverse culture to any international student. As English is an international language of business, science and technology, language skills gained in the UK can help me in any future career which is my third reason to choose to study here.
“I picked The University of Huddersfield because of its high reputation for its Events Management course and it provides sandwich course/work placement which is very helpful for student’s future career. Moreover, the University has a beautiful campus offering good facilities that help students with their work and tutors are very friendly and responsive.
